Spiritual Laughing Gas – UHD 14:6
I’m scared. Very few Christians seem to be able to detect the nitrous oxide carried on the winds of directionless conversations that are spreading the virus of complacency toward the truth of God’s word. Perhaps they are in denial while they play poker and sip lattes. Perhaps they lack the special mental equipment to detect traces of the gaseous substance. Perhaps they think the gas mask of dialogue will filter out any harmful substances. Perhaps they suppose that some kind of invisible defense shield will protect them from any damage, or that once infected, an antidote is close at hand. It saddens me to watch the effects of spiritual laughing gas on the unsuspecting.
I’m fearful. Lord, I cast my anxieties upon You. You are the only one who can redirect the nearly undetectable tidal-waves of winds that silently, speedily races across Christian thought.
Heb. 2:1For this reason we must pay much closer attention to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away from it.
